Web development services represent custom-created digital architectures rather than tangible products. Unlike physical goods, our work involves bespoke design, development, and strategic consultation tailored specifically to your business requirements. This Return Policy clarifies our approach to project modifications, cancellations, and refund considerations.
Each web development project we undertake constitutes a unique creative and technical endeavor. Our services include custom design creation, code architecture and development, content strategy and implementation, technical infrastructure configuration, strategic consultation and planning. These services are provided progressively throughout the project lifecycle and cannot be returned in the traditional sense once delivered.
Our development process unfolds through distinct phases, each with specific deliverables and approval checkpoints.
During initial consultation and planning, we develop strategic frameworks, conduct competitive analysis, create project specifications, establish design direction and aesthetic parameters. Client approval at this stage commits resources to subsequent development phases.
We create visual mockups and interactive prototypes, develop custom design systems and brand elements, prepare responsive layout structures. Your approval of design deliverables authorizes progression to the development phase and represents acceptance of the creative direction.
This phase involves writing custom code and building functionality, implementing responsive design across devices, configuring hosting and technical infrastructure, conducting quality assurance testing. Development work is based on approved designs and specifications, with substantial resources committed to bringing your digital ecosystem to life.
We understand that business circumstances may change. Our cancellation policy balances client flexibility with fair compensation for work completed and resources allocated.
Projects cancelled during the discovery phase, prior to design commencement, are eligible for a seventy-five percent refund of the initial deposit. This accounts for strategic planning, competitive research, and opportunity costs associated with resource allocation to your project.
Cancellations during active design or development phases result in charges for all completed work to date, calculated based on hourly rates or milestone completion percentages outlined in your service agreement. Clients retain ownership of all deliverables produced up to the cancellation point, including design files, partial code, and documentation.
Projects cancelled during final testing or launch preparation phases are not eligible for refunds, as substantially all development resources have been committed and deliverables created. However, we will work collaboratively to complete the project to a minimal viable state or transition materials to your designated development team.
Refund requests are evaluated based on several factors related to project progress and service delivery.
Refunds may be considered when we are unable to deliver services due to technical impossibilities not disclosed during initial consultation, when we fail to meet agreed-upon timelines due to our internal delays (excluding client-caused delays), if fundamental project requirements change making the original scope unviable. Each situation is assessed individually with transparent communication about eligible refund amounts.
Refunds are not provided for change of mind after design or development approval, client-caused delays that extend project timelines, dissatisfaction with subjective design elements after formal approval, requests for features beyond the original agreed scope, normal revision requests within the contracted revision allowances.
Each service package includes a specified number of revision rounds to ensure the final deliverable meets your expectations.
Our standard packages include two comprehensive revision rounds during the design phase and one revision round during development. These revisions allow you to refine elements, adjust layouts, and perfect content before final launch. Revisions must be requested within specified timeframes following each deliverable presentation.
Revision requests beyond the included allowance are accommodated at our standard hourly rate. Major scope changes or feature additions may require formal change orders with adjusted timelines and budgets. We provide transparent estimates before undertaking any additional work.
Understanding ownership rights clarifies what you receive upon project completion and what happens if a project is cancelled mid-development.
Upon final payment of all invoices, you receive full ownership of the custom website code we created specifically for your project, all design files and visual assets created for your site, content and written materials developed during the project. You maintain perpetual usage rights for these materials without restrictions.
For projects terminated before completion, you receive ownership of all completed deliverables paid for at the cancellation point. Unfinished work, preliminary sketches, and internal development files remain our property unless separately negotiated.
We are committed to resolving any concerns through transparent communication and collaborative problem-solving.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, contact us immediately to discuss concerns. We will schedule a consultation to understand your perspective, review project documentation and communications, propose solutions that address your concerns while acknowledging work completed. Most concerns are resolved through open dialogue and mutual understanding of project parameters.
If informal resolution proves unsuccessful, we may engage professional mediation services to facilitate a fair outcome. Both parties commit to good-faith participation in mediation before pursuing legal remedies.
Our payment structure aligns with project milestones to ensure mutual commitment and fair risk distribution.
Projects require a fifty percent deposit upon contract signing to reserve development capacity and commence discovery work. This deposit demonstrates commitment and covers initial strategic planning expenses.
Subsequent payments are tied to specific project milestones such as design approval, development commencement, and final launch. This structure ensures you only pay for completed, approved work stages.
Our relationship extends beyond initial launch to ensure your digital ecosystem remains functional and current.
All projects include a thirty-day post-launch warranty covering technical bugs, functional errors, and unexpected behavior arising from our development work. We will address these issues promptly at no additional charge.
Beyond the warranty period, we offer optional maintenance packages for software updates, security patches, content modifications, performance optimization. These services operate on monthly retainer or hourly billing arrangements separate from the initial development contract.
We reserve the right to update this Return Policy to reflect evolving business practices or legal requirements. Changes apply to projects initiated after the modification date. Active projects remain governed by the policy version in effect at contract signing.
